I try to keep my decks in good enough working order to still play 'em - some tapes are still great----- some never were right, I got plenty of both kinds.

Yep. I always liked the Maxell advertisement with the dude sitting in the chair with the sound blowing him away. niiiiiiiice.
Maxell XL-II, still got a plenny of dem. Yepp.
Dang, good thing digital caught on, no loss of sound, except for the digitization process in which some sound is lost in the conversion from analog to digital ones and zeroes. Well, when all is said and done, analog still has that edge.
